Hi!
We’re back with a side part today after a visit to my favorite human Sierra Kerner, now that I’m home in LA. Fun fact: I was one of Sierra’s first clients when she was an assistant and even modeled in her hair show to help her earn a spot on the Nine Zero One floor—now she’s so booked you can’t even get in as a new client! Always pays off to spot talent and take the risk early. Calling it now with the help from Paige Lorenze, Tinx, and especially this Hailee Steinfeld look, I think side parts are in for 2025… Goodbye middle parts.

♡ Speaking of creator brands… Why are they under attack for scarcity marketing when that is something that male founded fashion brands like Gymshark have built billion dollar fortunes out of? Stay tuned for a podcast episode all on this. If you know a creator founder that would be interested in chiming in for a portion of the episode, I’d love to hear from you!
♡ This Week’s Quote: Self-love is the frequency that attracts everything you deserve.
♡ New Headshots: Speaking of talent, I’m about to re-do my headshots with the incredible Bettina Bogar. Since we last worked together, she’s done work for Emma Grede and Kris Jenner and rumor has it, she’s looking to looking to add art director to her resume both for people of influence and brands… you heard it here first. I can’t wait for you to see what we are bringing to life, it’s definitely HSR approved.
♡ No Buy 2025 & TikTok: WSJ covers the "no buy 2025" trend that is gaining traction on social media. Last year, 20% of Americans participated, according to Chime, and Google searches for “no buy challenge” are up 40% YOY, while searches for “no spend challenge” are at an all time high. While I can’t commit to a full no-buy 2025, I’m definitely more mindful of my spending which is why I’m just so obsessed with Locker.
♡ HSR Money Hack: There is never a better time than when you get back from vacation to go through and do some spring cleaning in your closet. I usually pack my favorite, most versatile pieces for long trips—so anything left unworn in my closet is fair game for reevaluation when I return.
♡ This Week’s Long Read: 2025 is all about becoming the CEO of your own life with the help of ai. I loved this piece from Forerunner on Proactive Measures, the mastery of precise data capture and interpretation for expertly personalized experiences, and the development of products and services empowering actionable strategies — all to thrive in a society increasingly defined by autonomy and self-direction. I highly recommend this read for anyone thinking about building Consumer AI this year and for anyone that wants to hire and fire people, services, things from their life accordingly.

Let’s get real: Angel investing isn’t just for tech bros in Silicon Valley or wealthy individuals who made a fortune overnight. I built my way into this world without a finance degree, a founder exit, or family money. I started with sweat equity, leveraged venture capitalists, built a strong network, and positioned myself to write my first angel investments. If you’ve ever thought, I want to be an investor, but I don’t know where to start—this is for you.
